Lanier Quantz

After graduating from high-school, Lanier left her small Mississippi hometown to attend Davidson College in North Carolina from which she graduated magna cum laudewith a bachelor's degree in Psychology. Having always been a "numbers person", she went on to receive a Masters of Accounting with an Emphasis in Tax from the University of Georgia. She spent the next 9 years as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Atlanta with both Price Waterhouse and Bellsouth.

After her second child was born, Lanier ventured into the realm of small-business ownership. For the next 15 years, she owned and operated two different franchise entities: Curves for Women with 3 locations (Buckhead, Sandy Springs, and Dunwoody) and The Cleaning Authority-Atlanta located in Sandy Springs. Together, these business had a total of 1,000 customers and 30 employees. She later sold each of these businesses for a substantial profit.

For Lanier, the most rewarding aspect of each of her business ventures was the personal connections she made with her customers. She met one-on-one with each of her prospective customers, taking the time to listen to their needs and to formulate a plan to help them achieve their goals, whether they be health and weight related or simply relief from the day-to-day burden of house-cleaning. The cultivation of these customer relationships was the leading factor in her business success.

As a Daily Money Manager, Lanier combines her accounting skills of analysis, problem-solving, organization, and a sharp eye for details with her passion for developing meaningful relationships with people. Whether she is sitting at the kitchen table with an older adult or convening at the office of a small business owner, Lanier enjoys bringing clarity and order to her clients' financial lives so they may focus on what matters most and have more time to do what they love.

Lanier is a member of the American Association of Daily Money Managers (AADMM). She was rewarded membership into Phi BetaKappa her senior year of college and received the Georgia Gold Key Award for the highest score in the state of Georgia on the May 1989 CPA exam. Lanier was a practicing CPA from 1991 to 1998 at which time she resigned from her job at Bellsouth and allowed her CPA license to expire "in good standing" with the Georgia Society of CPAs

Lanier has been married to her college sweetheart for over 30 years, and is blessed with two wonderful children who have gracefully and successfully left the nest. She is an active member of her church and volunteers at Respite Care Atlanta, a program that provides daily activities for adults with dementia while giving welcomed respite for their caregivers. In her spare time, Lanier enjoys walking with her "girlfriends," hiking, baking, solving crossword puzzles, and anything outside in the sunshine. She also loves playing tennis and plans to unearth her racket in the near future, after a 10-year hiatus, and pick up the sport again!
